History Quality System

Monocrystal’s history began in 1969, when the Soviet Ministry of Electronics built the Analog plant.

The plant’s main product was monocrystalline silicon substrates.

In 1984, the Analog plant implemented new technology for producing synthetic sapphire monocrystals using the Kyropoulos method.

In 1987, the plant started producing polished sapphire wafers and metallic powders and pastes for hybrid and automotive electronics.

In 1994, the Analog plant went private.

In 1998, JSC Electronic Materials and Devices Plant Analog became a subsidiary of Corporate Group Energomera. The company started developing a series of metallic powders and pastes for electronics.

In 1999, on the basis of Analog’s production facilities, Corporate Group founded JSC Synthetic Corundums Plant Monocrystal. A high-tech production line was created for growing synthetic sapphire and manufacturing substrates for optoelectronic applications.

In 2002, the plant started production of 200 mm (8’’) diameter sapphire crystals, and Monocrystal was certified according to ISO 9001:2000.

In 2004, the plant began production of 300 mm (12”) diameter sapphire crystals and aluminum pastes for thin wafers.

In 2006, JSC Electronic Materials and Devices Plant Analog were merged into JSC Synthetic Corunds Plant Monocrystal.

In 2007, as a result of the merger, JSC Synthetic Corunds Plant Monocrystal was incorporated into Corporate Group Energomera and the Monocrystal Plant subsidiary was established. Production of lead-free silver pastes for 50-80 Ω/□ emitters was started.

In 2008, as a result of reorganization, Monocrystal Inc. was established.
